Quinn is an incredible teacher. I never thought I would be able to learn how to surf and actually stand up on the board, but I did!! He is so patient, encouraging and knowledgeable. I can’t wait to go again.

Overall a great surfing lesson! Quinn picked a good spot for the conditions on that day. He gave some "theoretical" input in the beginning, and more situational advice and support in the water. The lesson pushed me to my limits, but the effort was rewarded by a unique surfing experience on a clear and sunny day in the pacific ocean.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Once I learn about a student's goals and past experience I will recommend to them the best way to reach those goals. We will first practice on the sand, then start out in small waves for the student to get comfortable in the water. I can also offer progression packages for students who want to improve their surfing skills.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

-15 years experience

-Lifeguard/CPR certified

-LA County Surf Lesson Permit Holder

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

-Lessons last 2 hours including surfboards and wetsuits

-$129 for private, $99 each additional person
