I am glad to find Coach Campbell through Lessons.com for my son, Justin. He has been training with the coach since (Dec-2019). The coach has added critical basketball skills such as ball handling, shooting and confidence to my son’s bag of “tricks”. After a few trainings, I noticed a big difference in his confidence of ball handling, driving to the basket, and jump shooting from various spots.
Prior to this, Justin would hold the ball and either get trapped or pass it right away like a hot potato. I really enjoy and appreciate the way that the coach interacts with and trains my son. Justin’s comment was, “I like him. He makes me better, and I need someone to push me.”
The coach has a subtle, reinforcing, demanding, and building-block approach to training. If you miss a free-throw goal, push-ups. If you got the moves, good; do it again; faster. If you got move 1 down, add move 2. If you got moves 1-2-3, add move 4. The training is continuous and non stop, going from dribbling to through the leg, behind the back, changing direction, creating your own shot, jump shooting in the paint, 3-point shooting, and more. Handles and Buckets truly say it all.
Most importantly, the coach quickly points out my son’s strengths and weaknesses. He came up with drills to reinforce the strengths and to improve/correct areas of weakness.
My son went from a HS freshman bench to a starter within a few weeks. The coach’s training has helped to make this possible. In all fairness, Justin’s accomplishment also comes from his own desire to work harder and be better.
We continue to work with the coach to get Justin ready to try out for a HS Varsity team this Fall 2020.
I would recommend my friends and family to Coach Campbell if they seriously want to take their basketball skills to the next levels.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Dont always go for the cheapest trainer. Lots of times, they are cheap for a reason. Do your research, check their resume, make sure if they have kids of their own, they can play, check their website, and ask around. Handles x Buckets has a great name in the community as one of the best skills development programs in the South. Handlesandbuckets.org
