I am a Linguistics major at UC Berkeley and I have always wanted to tutor Elementary and Middle School to help further a child's education and help them succeed! My strengths are phonics, reading, writing, and english. I am able to help tutor math if needed. I am always willing to adapt my teaching to my student's level to help them succeed!
I tutor because I want to help other children succeed and grow their confidence in their academics. When I was in school, I wasn't confident in myself and my ability to learn but during tutoring, I rebuilt my confidence in myself nad my learning. I hope to do that for your child!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually will have the parents send over some of the homework and materials their child will be working on prior to the initial meeting. At the first meeting I will talk with the student about what they are struggling with and asking them if they had any assignments they may need help with. After that meeting, I will be able to come up with a lesson plan to better help the student.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I will price about $40/hour but I will be flexible depending on how many times a week and how long each session with a student is.
