What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We love to know the starting level of our students, and ask them questions so that we are on the same base of knowledge.  This way we can excell with new information to make sure they get their investment's worth.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Bleu has a Master Craftsman Degree from Professional Photographers of America, so he has taught many others in classes, workshops and seminars.  Alison has also taught and was the valedvictorian of her class at Hallmark Institute of Photography.  Both have taught classes from one on on, to 300 students, internationally.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We price our classes at $100 per hour or $150 per 2 hour blocks per student.  If you have a family or friends who would like to join, we share discounts for more students.  Both Alison and Bleu will be there to help teach you.

How did you get started teaching?

Bleu and Alison have been teaching for over 20 years. As students, they took many classes to learn their craft, and then began teaching their knowledge to others as they are passionate about continual education in photography.

What types of students have you worked with?

Bleu and Alison have taught high school students, College students, professionals wanting to learn how to take photos on vacation, and also have taught for Hallmark Institute of Photography, Great Britain Professional Photographers, Professional Photographers of Korea, Professional Photographer of America, Philippino Professional Photographers, and for Fortune Magazine Companies.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

One of our clients we photographed Business Portraits for told us he was going to see the Northern Lights on a hiking expedition with his sister.  With only backpacks, they needed to travel light but wanted to take magnificent photos.  We were able to tell them the best camera to buy and how to use it for the greatest photos.  They took a 2 hour class and were truly happy with the new knowledge they had to make art on this once in a lifetime trip.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

We would truly love to make a difference in your world by teaching you knowledge which we have from our 30 plus years of photographing.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Tell your teacher your goals....what you see yourself achieving.  What is your passion...why do you enjoy picking up a camera and making memories.  :)
