I am a succesfully, and self-taught Wedding and Portrait Photographer based out of Southern California. I have been published, featured and know the ins and outs of photography, lighting, and running a succesful business. I am able to help teach about wedding and portrait style photography, editing, business ideals, posing, Lightroom, Photoshop, and off camera flash settings. Marketing and Social Media have launched my career to the next level. I can help you launch your photography business and/or your photography hobby. I am a canon user. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I can meet you at my private property for photo shoots in North San Diego County, or I can meet you at a local location to you. Typically a phone conversation, facetime or email would suffice for our first interaction, to determine the needs and skill level you are at. From there we would create an educational plan that meets your timeline and budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I created Jodi B Photography 8 years ago, and have built it from the ground up. I started with weddings, and have since specialized in newborn sessions, family sessions, and of course Weddings! I have been published and featured in many publications and online sites as well. I have taught many beginner photographers how to hone in on their niche and skill level, how to market and how to utilize social media platforms to quickly launch their specialty into the industry and quickly become the "go-to" person in their industry. I have pamphlets, templates and one-on-one mentorship programs.

Photography 30 minute consultation discussing your needs, desires to grow your skill and/or business: $35
3 Hour Plan: Once your initial consultation is over, we will create a one-on-one plan which includes 3 hours of training (a mix of in person, online, handouts and phone calls), customized for your educational plan. $550
5 Hour Plan: (includes above, plus editing techniques and additional 2 hours of training, and a discounted option to purchase more templates, classes and video tutorials). $750
Per Hour Plan: (can be added after a bulk package is created) $150
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching organically, as my business grew...it just allowed me to continue teaching new photographers how I learned and how I began my business.
What types of students have you worked with?
all kinds of women! from mommies looking to launch an at-home business, to young students, and elderly looking to create a new hobby!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire someone who is professional, who's work you admire, and who's business structure is one you want to replicate.
