Piecemakers Country Store is a unique venue that offers over 100 classes each quarter with classes that include: Quilting, Sewing, Silk Ribbon and Thread Embroidery, Doll Making, Jewelry Design, Upcycled Clothing, Needle Felting, Knitting, Crochet, Paper Arts, and Artistic classes ranging from Alcohol Ink to Fabric Painting and more. Classes are available for ages 7 to 90. During the summer, a multitude of kids' kamps and classes are offered; during the school year, 'after school' and weekend classes are available. With over 35 teachers, that come from all over the U.S. and Australia, Piecemakers class repertoire is always expanding.
Piecemakers is also a quilt, craft, sewing and home decorating store with a sweet little tea room tucked into the center of the store serving lunch and sweet treats everyday. All day classes are served lunch as part of their class fee. As many as 9 special events, including flea markets and handcraft shows are held several times a year in Piecemakers parking lot.
Class information and registration is available on Piecemakers' web site, www.piecemakers.com, and online store. There is also a display room of class samples in the store, which is open 7 days a week from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
We enjoy seeing the pleasure students receive in learning something new, and also seeing the many friendships that are formed during classes.

We help students find the right class for them, and encourage students of all levels to find their right place in a class.

All of Piecemakers teachers have a lot of experience with their art, and are eager to pass their knowledge on to others.

Piecemakers class prices vary depending on the number of hours, the distance the teacher comes from (some are flown in), and if the teacher's expertise requires a higher price.
How did you get started teaching?
Piecemakers began teaching as we all wanted to develop our skills, and in turn pass them on to others.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have worked with all types of students, from beginning to advanced, and all ages from 7-90+.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We are hosting Karen Fraser, and incredible silk ribbon and thread embroidery teacher from Northern California, and she has had several classes with students from all over Southern California, and one from Colorado. The women in class are deriving great satisfaction adding to their embroidery skills.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Please ask to see the sample, and ask what supplies are needed for the class.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A student should be aware of their experience level, and look at the list of supplies needed to see if they have any questions.
