YICAKES Founded by Chef Yi, Yi Cakes is located in Los Angeles, California. Yi has successfully built her business in the commercial art industry over the past decade since she earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts and an MBA.

In 2018, after graduated from the Cake Decorating Program at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) and the Professional Chef Program at Natural Gourmet Institute (NGI) in New York City, Yi launched her culinary art business and founded Yi Cakes.

Yi is world renowned for her stunning signature sugar figurines. From 2018 to 2019, Yi won multiple awards nationwide including a “Grand Prize Spectacular”, a “Best of Show”, 5 first places and 2 second places in cake decorating competitions around the USA.

Yi Cakes strives to empower cake artists to ignite creative ideas on top of cake with Yi’s unique fondant figurine modeling solution that Yi has developed by integrating the traditional Chinese sculpturing techniques with the modern cake decorating techniques on top of cake.
