My older son started training with Mercadel Basketball in 6th grade, where he learned both the game and the right mindset. A year later my younger son joined too. Coach Henry once said, “At Mercadel Basketball they will learn step by step.,” and that stuck with us.
We stayed because Coach Henry has the heart of a parent. He teaches discipline, respect, and resilience, and often reminds the kids that the ABC to make it to varsity starts with Attitude and Character before Skills.
It truly takes a village to raise a child, and we’re grateful we chose a village that helps our kids grow as ball players and as good young men.

Henry is more than just a coach for my son, he is a mentor. He taught him skills on and off the court. I am so thankful to have had him in in my sons corner for the past five years and hopefully many more to come.

We have been with Mercadale Basketball for five years. My sons have not only learned to play the game of basketball with great skill, but has been taught other lessons by Coach Henry in keeping perspective on what is truly important in life. Our daughter played with this club for 4 years, and we couldnt be happier. The coaches cared about, her pushed her to get better, and made basketball fun. She grew so much here, both as a player and a person. Were really thankful for this team and everything theyve done for her. Highly recommend.

Henry is very approachable and easy to talk to. My son loves him and has the upmost respect for Henry.
