About
Learning a new instrument can be overwhelming. Getting better at your instrument can feel impossible. But with good mentorship and a supportive community, I believe learning trombone--and getting better at it--becomes easier and more fun!
Here's how we do that:
- Provide you opportunities to connect with like-minded students within and outside of Long Beach, including a studio icebreaker party, studio recitals, and organized trips to local concerts.
- Opportunities to perform in the community, and guidance on creating those opportunities for yourself, such as performing in a holiday trombone choir.
- Opportunities to meet, work with, and pick the brains of music industry professionals.
This is all in addition to:
- Honing in on the fundamentals of good trombone playing.
- Incorporating playing, singing, listening, and games into lessons and daily practice.
- Encouraging you to play an active role in your music education, providing opportunities to make choices on your terms during and outside of lessons.
- Exploring multiple styles of music (like how playing Brahms is a whole different ball game than playing Count Bassie).
- Working with a USC grad with 10+ years of music industry experience
And all of this at YOUR pace.
Sounds fun, right?
