My name is Johnny Alvarez.
I have been an instructor for over 30 years. I specialize in every level of baseball depending on the needs of the student. Overly the last 10 years I have been coaching at the high school level. I currently am the head freshman coach at Long Beach Poly High School.

Wow what a great first impression. Coach was prepared and very knowledgeable. The best part about Coach Johny came after the lesson was over. After the lesson was over an impromptu BP practice with a few kids and dads hanging out... Coach immediately grabbed his glove and started to shag balls. Coach always a Coach... he continued to give tips and instructions to all the kids. Coach stayed an extra hour with us. I was very impressed and exactly where his heart is with kids and baseball. Doesn’t get any better than that!

Coach Alvarez is very knowledgeable of baseball. He treats his players with respect while at the same time they are getting very good coaching. He starts with the basics and progresses into more strategic and difficult things in baseball teaching. I guess the best thing I can about coach Alvarez is that I would allow him to coach my own kids. He can with me at any time.

Johnny has worked with 4 of my sons. My boys enjoy the lessons and have improved as a result of Johnny’s instruction with hitting, pitching and catching. He has helped them go beyond the mechanics and focus on results. Highly recommended!
