About

I AM TEMPORARILY CLOSING MY BUSINESS HERE,

Hello future archers!

My fee for a private lesson is $25.

Archery lessons for kids, teens, adults.

Everything you need to know about my service is below in my profile.

If you are interested in starting lessons please reply.

I am a certified archery instructor that is also Safe Sport certified through USA Archery which is the organization that governs the Olympic Archery Team.

I regularly teach young and older archers how to be safe in archery as well as how to have fun! My classes are informal fun and informative. I have all the equipment needed. All you need to do is show up in old sneakers because the archery range is outdoors and can be dusty.

If if you just want to practice and receive some tips or if you want to work your way up to a Sunday 300 round tournament you will learn how to be a safe, good archer with me!

I usually teach people 10+ so I have the patience and guidance to help teens along. I have taught groups of adults intermediate archery techniques also.

Since I have equipment you can use you don't have to worry about purchasing equipment now.

Teaching beginners is the best. Seeing them concentrate. And for kids getting them to concentrate on something that is not inside an iPhone is my goal! Archery is the best sport for kids as it teaches PATIENCE, preserverance and calmness. Getting outside is the best thing for kids and adults. Seeing my students work up to enjoying a Sunday informal 300 round tournament is great! Big smiles!

I was very happy with response time to my request initially and professionalism moving forward. Very patient and explains the sport and process well.
Also I would like to add that the only reason I did not try the other teacher who kindly responded was travel time for me would have been double.
From start to finish the experience from lessons.com has been great , thank you.

Russell was a great instructor! I came in with zero knowledge and experience. Was taught basics of archery in an hour and I was able to land a near bullseye! Was a great learning experience and would continue doing lessons with him in the future to improve my skill. I highly recommend!

Russel is great with our son. A very kind teacher that explains and instructs everything clearly with a smile. Our son is excited to go to each lesson!

i recommend that the student be at least 9yrs old to get the most from the sport of archery.

I am a Level Two Archery instructor and have insurance with USA Archery the governing body of the USA Archey Olympic team. I am also Safe Sport certified which means I am trained to spot athlete abuse and how to deal with those situations. I am very protective of my students and any others on the range.

Private at $25 per hour.  If your young archer would like to shoot with another we might be able to arrange a group class in the future at $15.00 each student.

7+ years ago with the archery club in Pasadena. I am a regular archery instructor every Saturday for groups up to 20 people.

Also a former board member with the club.

I practice "modern olympic archery" using a recurve bow.

All ages.  Scouts, college students, birthday parties, and physically challenged students. I have Also worked with the Pasadena City Police Department PALS program teaching at risk kids the art and fun of archery!
