About
I am very passionate about dance and I love helping people. I create a space for people to feel good about themselves and experience more joy in their life through dance. I have a lot of experience, I pay attention to detail and give very high quality instruction. I meet the person I'm working with exactly where they are, and teach them step by step the correct way to understand their own body. This makes them feel empowered and successful.
I love to help people and give them the experience of finding joy through movement/dance. I love seeing their confidence build and their dancing improve, and I can see the difference I am making for them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to speak to them on the phone to get an idea what they are looking for and how I can help them. If we see that we are a good match and I can help them, then I set up an appointment if they are wanting a private session. If they want to join a class I will recommend which one they can come to.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a professional ballet dancer and I danced with major ballet companies in the United States and Europe and toured internationally. I started dancing when I was 7 years old and became professional at 17. I danced for 10 solid years in major ballet companies. I've also had extensive training and experience in teaching Creative Dance to people of all ages from children to seniors.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Ballet class is usually $18-$20 a class, private ballet lessons are on a sliding scale of $65-$100 an hour depending on whether it is children or adults and their financial situation. I also offer packages of lessons at a discounted rate. Workshop fees vary depending on how many hours they are.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with people of all ages and abilities, from beginners with no experience to advanced. I work with children, adults and seniors.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Have a converstation with the teacher and ask them questions about their background, credentials, and fees. Then explain in as much detail as possible what you are looking for, what your goals are, if you have injuries, your availability, how much time you are willing to committ, and anything else about yourself that you want them to know. Give them as much information as possible. Then see their response. That will help you get a good idea if they are the right teacher for you. If it feels like the right fit after your conversation, then try a lesson and see how you like it. That will ensure you find the right teacher.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First, be clear about what you want and what your needs are. Then be clear with yourself how much you are willing to committ physically and financially.
