Baseball Fundamentals
About
Baseball is the greatest game on this planet. It involves skill, instinct and intelligence. I teach to all three. Your child will learn the proper way to field the ball, throw the ball, catch the ball, approaches, swing the bat, the learnings are unlimited if you want them. I played the game, competitively for 17 years (LH pitcher). I’ve coached it, at every amateur level, since 2001. Just a small business with a passion to teach this fantastic sport!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I tend not to “re-invent the wheel”, rather than fine tune what the student currently possesses. I make the process simple to understand and give the student the ability to recognize the mistakes in order to correct while playing. This allows the players to be self-sufficient and not look into the stands for help.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Played competitive baseball for 17 years (LH pitcher). Have coached the game since 2001.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is $45 for ½ hour lessons. Bundle deals are available dependent on how many you’d like.
How did you get started teaching?
My passion for the game is deep within me. It started with my own children. Daughter played college softball, son played college baseball, youngest son just graduated from Harvard Westlake and playing baseball at TCU.
What types of students have you worked with?
I’ve worked with beginners to advanced players; both baseball and softball.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My youngest son owns the Harvard Westlake record for lowest season ERA with a 0.59.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I’m a good ol’ boy from the south. I’m only as good as my word! I like to promote thought and teach my lessons in a fun way.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are you wanting to get out of these lessons (basic fundamentals, specific fixes, etc)? How much time are you willing to invest outside of these lesson perfecting what you are taught?
