Hi I’m Tim and I would love to work together! I have taught many student from age 4-60+ of all different levels on the piano, guitar, upright and electric bass. I’m grateful for my musical education and I would like to share that with my students. I got my BM (Bachelor of Music) at Oberlin Conservatory and MM at USC. I know every student learns in a different way and I tailor each lesson to that particular student’s learning style.
In addition to teaching I’m also an active performer. I have played at such venues venues such as the Paris Ballroom in Las Vegas the Blue Whale, Catalinas jazz club, and Capitol Records just to name a few. I specialize in jazz, pop, r&b, rock and classical.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to ask the student what there goal is for taking lessons and I like to hear them play something on the instrument. I like to set up a plan and timeline for how they can achieve their goal. I also like to ask the student what type of music they like. Learning music you enjoy listening to is much more fun!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 10 years teaching experience and I have taught ages 5-80s. I have taught in elementary, middle and high schools, and colleges. I have helped students apply all-state and college auditions. I also have a Bachelors Degree from Oberlin Conservartoy in Music and I a Masters of Music from USC
