Whether you’re picking up the cello for the first time, preparing for an important audition, or refining your artistry as an advanced musician, my goal is to help you reach your highest potential. As a professional cellist with nearly twenty years of performing experience and over a decade of teaching, I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels—from complete beginners to conservatory and professional musicians.

I believe the greatest progress comes from a consistent, collaborative teacher-student relationship built on clear goals, thoughtful practice, and genuine enjoyment of music. I have successfully prepared students for youth orchestra auditions, competitions, summer music festivals, and university and conservatory admissions, tailoring each lesson to the individual needs and aspirations of the student.

A little about me: I earned several degrees from the Colburn Conservatory of Music and the University of Southern California. Along the way, I have won top prizes in national and international competitions and had the privilege of studying with many of the world’s most distinguished musicians and teachers.

As a performer, I have appeared in concerts and music festivals throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. I regularly perform with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and San Diego Symphony, and also maintain an active solo chamber music career. A recent highlight was performing as soloist at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

The most rewarding part of teaching is watching students grow from week to week—not only in their technical abilities, but in their confidence, musical understanding, and independence. I strive to give every student the tools to solve challenges thoughtfully and develop habits that will serve them throughout a lifetime of music-making. Mastering an instrument is a lifelong journey, and with dedication, patience, and the right guidance, it is one of the most fulfilling pursuits imaginable.
