Grey Firearms Training and Defense, LLC is a Southern California based firearms training company dedicated to enhancing the skills and mindset our of students. We believe that everyone who owns, or has an interest in owning a firearm, has a responsibility to protect themselves and their loved ones by participating in training to learn safe handling, understanding state and local laws, and how to effectively operate a firearm in a variety of different scenarios. With each class, we will help craft your outlook to pursue a proactively protective lifestyle, appreciation for effective firearms skill sets, and their applications.
We have created our curriculum from diverse backgrounds and bios to deliver training designed for first-time owners and those looking to take their game to a whole new level. Without consideration of current capabilities, we are excited to welcome our clients to our community. Our instructors are dedicated to providing an education without judgement, but with precision and purpose.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The process is easy! Simply visit our website at GreyDefense.com and review the classes we offer to determine what class is right for you. Or reach out to our intructors through the Contact Us page to set up a free phone call or Zoom session to discuss what we recommend for you given your past experiences, current skill level, and future goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our instructors are all licensed firearms instructors, either through the military or NRA. Each bringing a diverse background from special military detachments or private sector career fields relevant to giving you the best approach to a real-world defensive mindset and appropriate firearms training for targeted applications.

Our pricing is structured by class, with each class level having a different pricing schedule. Please visit our website at GreyDefense.com for specific pricing on each class.
Private Training Sessions are available, and discounts are offered for multiple person bookings.
How did you get started teaching?
Each of our instructors came to Grey with multiple years of instructing experience. Collectively, we began teaching out of passion to help our students meet their goals and become proficient with their firearm platforms.

We have worked with and continue to work with:

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We are highly fond of our recent run of Pistol 1 classes, as we have seen a high number of brand-new firearms owners learn to shoot and become confident with their handguns. It brings us great pride to see our students leave the range feeling excited, motivated, and confident.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
We greatly encourage that you be research to find the right instructors for you that will foster a fantastic customer service experience, an ongoing professional relationship, and provide a positive experience without judgement.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
It is important to first evaluate what your ultimate goal is in terms of firearms proficiency. As in, at what level are you interested in performing at, and for what application.
Example:
Who: A student who just bought their first gun and is brand new to firearms
Goal: To ultimately become confident in using their pistol with the intent of getting their CCW to carry their firearms for personal protection.
