Learning how to shoot has always been on my list of "To-do's". I searched lessons.com and located many instructors. I targeted Christian's aka Chris 'profile due to the articulation listed within his profile. In speaking with him, his character exuded a strong sense of mindfulness. For me as a learner, this is an imperative trait for an instructor. This characteristic of possessing "Mindfulness" placed Chris ahead of many instructors in regards to making a final selection. During the sessions, Chris consistently sets up an environment for learning. Mentally, he breaks down learning opportunities into small tasks (modules). He explains what you are going to do. He shows and will demonstrate what he wants you to do as the "task". There are occasions where performance isn't what is expected and Chris will respond with positive constructive feedback. Chris makes sure every experience is a positive learning experience. I highly recommend Chris - Precision Targeting to anyone who is interested in learning how to safely handle and shoot a firearm. 😊

The handling and firing of firearms had always been way out of my comfort zone. But at 66 years of age, I decided it was time for me to overcome this fear and I was blessed to have met Chris. Upon our first meeting I was extremely nervous, and he made me feel much more at ease with his kind and reassuring words. We had discussed earlier that I wanted to know not only how to safely handle and shoot a firearm, but also what type of firearm would be the right purchase choice for me. Chris has years of experience and knowledge with different types of firearms and can determine what type of firearm works best for even a novice like me. I appreciated his critiquing of my shooting progress, advising me of changes needed to be considered and of course his constant encouragement. I continue to take classes with Chris and have enjoyed trying out different types of guns. My fear of handling firearms is finally fading away, and I have Chris to thank for that. Chris is a really nice guy and a wonderful teacher. I highly recommend Precision Targeting to anyone who is interested in learning how to safely handle and shoot a firearm. Thanks again Chris.

Before my first lesson with Chris I had never fired or even held a handgun. Needless to say I was apprehensive and nervous when I showed up at the shooting range. All these feelings (and the lump in my throat) went away once I met Chris. He talked me though what we would be doing but wasted no time getting me shooting. I want to know how to handle and shoot a gun safely and correctly; Chris would not have it any other way. He brings years of gun handling experience with him but kept the lesson at my skill and confidence level. His constant words of advice and encouragement were much appreciated and he seemed to know exactly when I needed them most. I cannot say enough about Chris's patience and ability to help a raw beginner feel safe in a very unique environment. I have been given a great start to this new adventure and could not recommend Precision Targeting more highly. Thank you Chris.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Telephone conversation prior to him/her picking up their firearm.  I can also train up before the pick up as I have many types of pistols. I can also offer an AR15 experience for those that are curious.
