About
I have been teaching, coaching and mentoring for many years and have a love for helping people attain their dreams and reach their goals.
There is so much to learn and hundreds of decisions to make in the art of photography. My goal is to help you navigate the many options and gain the knowledge you need to succeed.
We can work online or in person. If you choose you can come spend time in my working professional studio located in the Downtown Los Angeles Art District. I will take you sept by step and teach you everything I have learned from nearly 50 years in photography. Or I can come to your home studio or business location and help you to get amazing results with the equipment you have on hand.
We will work out your individual course of study based on your skill level and what you want to learn. I've taught beginner courses at local colleges and advanced workshops to professional photographers around the country on portrait photography, business and marketing, and Landscape and Environmental Portraiture
We can set up a short few hours consult or an in-depth monthly mentoring. Get in touch and let's get going.
As I mentioned earlier I come from three generations of teachers and teaching is in my DNA. The most rewarding thing about it is watching the lights go on in the eyes of those I am mentoring. To see them gain confidence and skill as they develop as artists. I am always excited by the prospect of beginning the journey with a new student. Let's get started.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
There are several avenues to consider for continuing photography education. There is the hands-on face to face at the studio or on location option. This is by far the best way to get immersed in the art form. You get to ask questions and see the results in real-time. You can come and hang out at the studio and get the full feel and experience of a working studio.
The next best is Skype or another video conferencing platform. This works for those who are too far away for an in-person mentoring but still provides the personal aspects of one on one tutoring.
Another option is my personal Facebook select private group. You will be with other photographers and have the advantage of developing relationships with fellow students and learning in a group atmosphere. There are regular assignments and Facebook live videos where we discuss your personal questions and collectively work to grow in the art form. Get in touch and let's get you on your way to mastering the art form of photography.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a working professional photographer for over thirty years with a commercial portrait studio located in the Downtown Los Angeles Art District. I am a Professional Photographers of America Certified Professional Photographer and have received my Master of Photography credential for PPA as well. I carry a Bachelor's degree in Web Design and Photoshop editing and am a Master retoucher. I speak regularly and teach photography workshop throughout the country and am an instructor with the Georgia O'Keeffe Ghost Ranch workshops in Northern New Mexico.
Teaching is my passion and as the third generation teacher is in my DNA. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you.
