No pressure! Skateboarding is all about having fun in the way YOU want to. It's an alternative to the homogeneous approach of team sports. No screaming coaches making your kid feel inadequate. No "right way" to do things. What makes skateboarding rewarding is the setting and demolishing of personal goals. The best way to build confidence and foster "sportsmanship"
Skateboarding is my passion. At 33, i'm not trying to go pro or anything. The most rewarding part of skatebaording are the relationships you build and the friends you make. Whether they're 10 or 40, everyone at the skatepark is there to have a good time!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If they have NO experience, it's all about getting them comfortable on the board. Figuring out their stance. And having fun!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended two summers of skateboarding camp at Woodward in PA when I was growing up. More importantly, I mentor students of advertising as that's my profession and in doing so, i've developed a love for educating.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The number one goal should be to have fun! I never liked team sports because I hated having a coach that would shame me for not taking it serioiusly enough. My approach is the opposite. Skateboarding is an individual sport and should be about having fun and beating personal goals.
