About
I believe my expertise in chamber and solo music will allow me to train students for real world situations and provide an example for success in the music industry. Upon graduation, I successfully won an audition with Tim Zimmerman and the King’s Brass. Our group has already performed 80 concerts this summer in over 17 states across the United States. Additionally, we will have a Christmas tour in December and several other weeks of touring throughout the year. This group has an established record of 39 years of successful touring nationally and internationally and several albums on the market. We record twice a year and I was featured on our recording this August. We will complete over 130 concerts across the U.S this year. This experience and on-going professional proficiency will provide students a basis of comparison and effective model to ignite creativity, hard-work, and dedication to the music profession, while teaching life-skills.
I am thankful to be in a great group and one that I can perform all the time. Not every player has the opportunity to perform often and with a group that has years of established success. I would say it’s exhilarating playing a a new town each day and inspiring others, especially young players. In my experience, I have had several players start the trumpet because of my performances and I have had others inspired to improve and seek out teachers (either myself, or a local person I can connect them with).
