"DJ"-- Dennis J Sylvester, MA -- I'm a fully CA credentialed creative K-14 grade teacher with lots of STEAM powered experience in teaching the Arts, History, Science, Technology, Engineering/Architecture & Studio Art. My MA, Education at Cal State University Dominguez Hills was a dual major in Multi-cultural & Ed Tech Studies. My BA at CSUSDA was in Art History & Studio Art. BS, Stretegic Journalism/Advertising, & Art/Architecture at the University of Utah. Also deepened involved & experienced in the Advertising ("Mad Man"} business & TV production, post-production & distribution of sports/action/adventure TV special.
It's FUN, creative, expressive and VAPA, Visual and Performing Arts (music), based. I prefer teaching in primarily the visual & performing arts subject matters for 1st grade to Cummunitity College levels. But I also have a strong STEM based track record. And intergrate the core multi-cultural studies accross the board.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
CSUDH double major in studio art, art history; credentials to teach art and photography and tech illustration. I was also trained by 3 architecturs & engineers, & worked on multiple hospital/medical buildings construction plans. DJ

$30-50/hour and/or more depending on that students and teacher agrees to-- based on students level of achievement and/or LOVES. DJ
How did you get started teaching?
Started helping disabled college students at the University of Stockholm, Sweden. My first USA teaching jobs were with LA Unified School District for K-12 grade disabled students. Then, I taught a 2nd grade class at LAUSD at Lomita Math/Magnet Elementary School, which was my favorite grade and school at the time. DJ

Multi-cultural, Multiple-Intelligence K-14 kids and adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Easter, as a symbolic event... for the change of the seasons, new beginnings, FRESH ideas and new enlightment, GROWTH, inspiration and development.
