About

I'm an absolute baseball enthusiast with 25+ years of experience. I attended Mission Viejo High School 2002-2006 and earned a scholarship to play at Cal State Fullerton as a catcher. I played catcher mainly but moved to 1B after tearing my labrum/bicep in my throwing arm. I understand the fundamentals of the game and know how to teach them in order to give your child(ren) a solid foundation from which to grow their skills. Baseball is also a mental game. I will teach them them what I've learned to understand the game/situations, how to handle failure and how to be ready for the next level. I've learned from 3 Hall of Fame coaches: George Horton, Don Sneddon and Auggie Garrido. The invaluable information that I learned from each one of them has taught me to be a student of the game and helped me succeed at each level. I would love to teach everything I have learned to your child(ren) to help them succeed at whatever level they are at.

I enjoy being able to pass along my knowledge of the game to children that are on their own baseball paths. I love seeing that moment where what your working on clicks and the child looks at you with the big eyes, jaw dropped saying I can feel it! It's about them learning the skills in a fun and encouraging environment, that's what I try to provide.

Frequently asked questions

I like to build trust and rapport with a new student first and foremost. I like to ask them what their strengths and weaknesses are. What their goals and dreams are so that I know how to motivate them and encourage them to work hard. I'm big on fundamentals and building a solid foundation that they can grow with.

I've got 25+ years of baseball experience. Played at Mission Viejo High School 2002-2006 as a Catcher. Earned a scholarship to play at Cal State Fullerton. Transferred to Santa Ana College to try and get drafted after redshirting with an injury and earned freshman All-American honors in 2007. I became a student of the game after learning it from three different Hall of Fame coaches: George Horton, Don Sneddon and Wally Kincaid. I've coached travel ball for two different teams and age levels, So Cal Rebels and Slammers in Colorado.

It really depends on the time that you are looking for. Generally:

-$30/30 min

-$50/60 min

-$75/90 min

I got started right after college baseball ended. I didn't get drafted after tearing my labrum/bicep in my throwing arm but continued to have a passion for the game. I learned that I enjoy teaching the game almost as much as playing it.

I have coached kids between the ages 8-16. Little league, Pony League, Travelball, High School and Jr. College.

Make sure that they have learned the game from a reputable person. There is no hope in your child succeeding without a solid foundation. Don't let someone who "says they know" teach your kids the wrong way and ruin the chance of them not loving the game because they don't see success early.

How long have the played? Where did they play? Have the coached kids before because sometimes people can't communicate and relate with children. Most importantly, ask them if they can help you improve in the areas that you are looking to.
