Bachelors Degree in Secondary Art Education, Masters Degree in fine arts, 15 years teaching art at both public schools (Long Beach Unified School District) and college. 30 year exhibitor at the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach. Being a good Artist is important but teaching others is a skill all by itself. A teacher combining both skill sets will make any student a better artist.

Dan Skaggs has been instructing both of our daughters for the past 8 years. Over that time, they have both become really good at any art-related task. In fact, my oldest daughter is now the President of her High School Graphics club. She has won a few awards and was even picked to present her work at the Long Beach Museum of Art. Dan has been very patient with teaching both daughters, and is an extremely knowledgeable teacher. My wife and I can’t say enough about how worthwhile Dan’s lessons have been!
