I love seeing the composition and lighting variables in my mind's eye. I look at a subject, either hired to see or just randomly occuring and I automatically start analyzing the different ways to photograph the image. Having acquired the knowledge of lighting, composition and post processing variables over a lifetime career enable me to 'see' the photo prior to ever picking up the camera. I hope to share this with my students. To see some of my recent work, go to www.TravelerDon.com
I like how he is very patient and is willing to answer questions that I may have. He gives me homework pertaining to what questions you may have and what he is teaching you. Great teacher.
The first lesson usually consists of a meet-n-greet and get to know you session in order to determine how I can best teach you what you want to know. From there, I will custom tailor the lessons to suit the student.
Be prepared by bringing the camera you intend to use and if you have any favorite photos that you have taken, bring them along and be prepared to have them critiqued!
I have studied under many great photographers, too numerous to mention. Studies at Otis Parsons Fine Arts helped groom me for what I love to do! I learned lighting interning at several Los Angeles Studios including MRS. Worked on many movie and film productions including the Rocky series and movie poster productions.
