About
I enjoy teaching children and adults who like to be inspired by new adventures such as painting. I am a very prolific painter, and I don't like to limit myself to just one subject. I paint what I feel and what feels right at the moment. When a child or adult creates a painting I enjoy watching their expressions of amazement and excitement regarding their accomplishments.
I also teach card making, and iphone photography. I feel that children need to be in a well-rounded environment to learn as much as possible of all forms of art. I have won many awards with my art, and many of my paintings are held in private collections, as well as have been exhibited in galleries in the US and Europe.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
first I will find out what interests the student, what knowledge the student has of colors, and color mixing. We will draw a simple imasge on a canvas or camvas board, and use paint to identify the values.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University, but I am a self-taught painter. I have studied under several artists, and learned many great things pertaining to my painting.
I have been painting for more than 20 years, and I wish to share the knowledge that I aquired with students just starting their own creative journey.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A retired high school principal said that she would love to paint, but feels that she had no talent. I dared her to come to a class and she created a wonderful simple landscape with the necessary coaching that she was so extrememly proud of. On her way home she stopped to by a frame and her husband wanted to know if she had bought it. When she told him that she painted it herself, he called me to verify. The happiness she felt to be able to do this, was so delightful.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher also has a good sense of humor. Painting should be fun and relaxing, and a enjoyable learning experience.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

How long is the class?
