Just Dig In

About

These lessons teach players what to aim for when they step up to the plate—how to visualize and execute their most powerful swing, and how to target specific areas of the field to maximize their impact. We focus on precision. We strive to win. We aim to score. 😎🙌🏼

Some of my most rewarding coaching moments come from helping a player discover their true potential. Seeing their face light up with newfound confidence and watching their body language shift is incredibly fulfilling. It’s even better when that confidence translates into real results at the plate. Each at-bat becomes an opportunity for them to rise to the challenge, to help their team score more runs, and to be the best version of themselves in that moment.

I challenge hitters to aim for those powerful gaps on the field and guide them on the journey to mastering the timing and precision needed to attack the ball with intent. Along the way, I help them rediscover the joy in the process, making each step of improvement feel like a win.

And it’s not just about the players—I truly enjoy helping parents get involved too. Teaching families how to work together at home and watching them bond over the game brings me so much joy. Helping a family become a team and fostering passion in how they approach the sport is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do..

Lindsay is an amazing coach. My husband and I had been following JustDigIn on IG for some time and when we found out that she was offering lessons in Southern California we jumped at the chance for our daughter, Charlene to meet with her. I love her energy during the lessons and I appreciate how she will stop mid-lesson to make sure that my daughter is understanding her instructions. She makes the time spent fun/engaging and I know my daughter leaves feeling more confident in her ability to hit the ball. Every time I see my daughter up to bat, I know she is at the plate with a purpose.
We look forward to in person lessons with Lindsay and we appreciate that we can utilize the online lessons too.

Honestly, all of it! The way Lindsay breaks down the swing mechanics and principles behind it. Everything not only makes sense. It works! My daughter is in the beginning of her re-matriculation to hitting. The results are coming big time!

My daughters first lesson was exactly what she needed. Coach Gardner spent the time working on mental training and becoming familiar with the mindset required to become a “green zone” hitter. It wasn’t “okay, go take some swings and I’ll critique you”. She took the time to teach, explain and answer questions. After her lesson my daughter recorded some cuts, sent them to Lindsay and within 20 minutes we had a review with advice and drills to help progress based on what she saw. We’re very excited and can’t wait to keep Just Digging In!

Lindsay is very knowledgeable about the game and she breaks things down into easy to understand steps. She does a good job of demonstrating and is a blast to work with. With only two lessons I have already seen improvement during games.

She was understood what my child needed. It was the first time someone broke it all down for her step by step. The very next day, she hit 2 home runs.

We meet, we greet, we get on the same page about what we are trying to do as hitters (help our team score the most runs), I show them which gaps they can hit the ball the hardest and most consistent to, then give them the skills they need to get the results they are capable and deserving of.

I am a former ASA Gold National Champion and ASA All-American, NCAA All-American and Big 12 Freshman of the Year from the University of Texas Longhorns, USA Team player (02 & 03), and Pro Fastpitch 3X All-Star and '08 HR Derby Champion.

I have 20 years coaching experience with all ages. Coached 9 years in college. 5 years as the head coach at St. Edward's University in Austin, TX.

1 hour lesson for one, two, or three hitters: $150 1.5 hour lesson for 3 or 4 hitters: $225 2 hour hitting clinic for 6-8 hitters: $50 per hitter
I began coaching hitters during my sophomore year at the University of Texas. After breaking a handful of records and being names Big 12 Freshman of the Year and earning All-American honors, I had players of all ages who wanted to learn how to approach hitting the same way I did. I’ve absolutely improved in my communication skills and ability to help hitter’s confidence, power, and consistency since I began (2001).
Majority of my hitters are between the ages of 11-18, with a few college players and a few younger kids in the mix. I also spent the 2022 baseball season working as the hitting development coordinator for the Wild Health Genomes in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) where I studied at-bat and practice approaches and gathered data to prove effectiveness at the plate.
Working with the players, coaches, and families of Altadena and Pasadena softball and baseball after the recent wildfires that devastated the community. We held an equipment drive and all day clinic to help with the rebuilding of their program and it was an incredibly fulfilling and rewarding experience.
I am the kind of coach you want if you’re tired of being taught how to swing ‘the right way’ and how to get on base. Getting in base is an expectation, not the goal. Scoring is the goal and I am the coach who will teach you how to swing the bat with power and you will gain the ability to hit home runs, doubles, and singles and strike outs will dwindle until e they become almost nonexistent in your game.
What do you want to improve upon at the plate? Are you practicing off a tee or side toss more than you practice against a pitch moving at you (front toss, wiffle balls, BP pitching, live pitching)? What are you aiming for at the plate — what you aim for sets up the results you’re able to attain!
