Hi, I'm Neal. I began teaching English and pronunciation in 2009 when I lived in Tokyo. In the years since I have developed a highly effective method that draws on my background in music and audio. I am entirely self-taught so you can be sure that my confidence comes from real experience: I have taught literally hundreds of students from all over the world and all walks of life.
I approach pronunciation training like music training. My first goal is to help you develop an 'ear' for the American accent: to 'recalibrate' your brain so that you start to 'hear' English more like a native. Secondly I aim for you to break bad habits and develop the muscle memory to be able to produce the fundamental sounds of American English correctly. Finally I aim to help you integrate what you have learned into your everyday speech.
