Collins Math Tutoring
About
I offer math tutoring primarily for students learning algebra 1, algebra 2 and trigonometry or below, but I can also offer some tutoring support with geometry and pre-calculus if need be. My goal is to help students understand the fundamentals of the math they are learning so that they can build upon a strong foundation as they move on to more advanced math classes. As of August 2021 I will be a high school senior enrolled in AP calculus, and have taken advanced/honors math classes since middle school. Additionally I have leadership and teaching experience through extracurricular activities, clubs and volunteer opportunities.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The tutoring process changes from student to student depending on how much help they need, what subject it is, and their learning style. The first tutoring session is the most important for me to be able to asses what it is the students needs or is trying to gain from the tutoring and how I can best deliver that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken all of the classes that I offer tutoring for at an advanced/accelerated level, and passed with high marks.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer three different tutoring sessions.
1 hour for $50
1 1/2 hours for $75
2 hours for $100
but I am willing to negotiate prices with students and parents
