I have a broad amount of experience painting and drawing for over 30 years as wells as acquired a 4 year college degree. I can help my students create a portfolio that will help them promote their art or meet the qualifications to get accepted in a college art program. I have several years of experience using a variety of materials oil, watercolor, acrylics, graphite, color pencils etc. I teach color techniques and strategies in how to mix colors. I can also teach artists how to become entrepreneurs and marketing tips to promote their art.
I love the process of creating art and the amazing journey it take to create art from a blank canvas or sheet of paper. The work I create comes from within and I never know what the outcome will be. It is rewarding to help my students take the journey to creating great works of art. My work can be viewed on Instagram or Facebook as artbyshante.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I meet with a new student can critique their work together. Once we review the work we can decide what type of lesson they will need and to accomplish the goals they would like to reach.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a successful artist for over 30 years and I have a 4 year college degree in Art Studio from a State College in Northern California.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard fee is $20.00 per hour for 3 hour sessions. Any additional hours over the 3 hour session will be an additional $10.00.
How did you get started teaching?
I volunteered and worked in community centers for low income youth.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was a volunteer for the Big Brother Big Sister Program in Atlanta Georgia and I conducted a special art project for low income kids.
