Moxie Art Lessons
About
Moxie Art Lessons is designed to help students learn traditional and academic techinques, as well as build up their own unique appraoch to art making.
The instructor Ryan Martin attended the California College of the Arts in San Francisco, where he studied Visual Arts, with an emphasis on drawing and painting. Martin has been working professionally as a visual artist since 2007; represented by Mark Wolfe Contemporary Art in San Francisco. Martin's work has been highlighted by numerous media including THE ADVOCATE, CHIC TODAY MAGAZINE, VENISON MAGAZINE, and THE ART OF MAN. He has exhibited widely across the United States, including CONTEXT and SCOPE in Miami, three solo shows at Mark Wolfe Contemporary Art in San Francisco, and selected for VOLTA NY.
What I enjoy most about teaching is helping students stay true to their own character when tackling technical skills. I have been teaching art and writing art-curicculum since 2009. It has brought me great joy to see students learn the process of creating their first portfolio of artwork to share.
