Hope to see you at one of our classes or events.
The thing I enjoy most about my art studio is having creative people there all working together in a synchronized harmony all creating and sharing an artistic community. I love to see how the creative process opens us up to the greatest parts of ourselves. I love to watch people develop and grow from their art.
People of all levels are welcome in this non-judgemental environment. My passion is painting and being engaged in the creative process with other like-minded people.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have several techniques when working with people. I work from an intuitive place allowing people to access their creativity from deep withing. Our art teaches us something about who we are. I help people get in touch with that part of themselves. I also have teachers all of whom have different techniques and process. Dawn Harrison teaches Fine Art Classes; Pauline Agnew Teaches Abstract painting. I also offer group painting events for special parties and companies.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a lifetime of training dating back to my youth. Have studied at UCSD; with Watts Atelier; with Glenn Vilppu; Pauline Agnew: Flora Bowley and more. I also have a Ph.D. in Expressive Arts Teaching and using the arts for healing and transformation.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, The painting lsssons are $30. per class if your purchase as you go. If you purchase a 4 lesson package, then the price drops to $25. per class.
Group Events are $25. per person. Birthday Parties; Company Events; Family Painting day.

How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching art and expressive arts for the past 20 years. I have taught art in both my kids classes from K-6th grade. I have been teaching at a San Diego University for the past 10 years, and now in my personal studio for the past 4 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children and adolescents. I have worked both one-on-one with people as well as in groups. I attract people who are interested in learning painting and drawing skills. I work in multi-media approach. I welcome all types and forms of art.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just love doing group events. I welcome families and groups as well as internships working with people one-on-one. I enjoy the creative energy that arises when people come together and share their creativity.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who INSPIRES YOU! Someone who helps you develope your own artisit style. As artists we all inspire each other with our art, and we also each have our very own personal style of creating art. Find someone who will help you release your own inner artist and find your UNIQUENESS. And most of all ~~ ENJOY the process.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would suggest that you search your heart for what inspires your heart. What type of art makes your heart sing. From there, find a teacher who will encourage that. You love free style art? Do you want to increase your fine arts skills? Do you want a more intuitive process? Do you want art for self reflection and personal growth? This will help you define what you want and that will help you find a teacher who can foster those qualities in their classes.
