Del Mar Surf Sessions has been a leader in surf instruction in San Diego for over 20 years. Our staff of professional coaches specializing in private instruction is made up of a diverse set of individuals with varying backgrounds from lifeguards and teachers to competitive surfers. Our team of capable watermen and waterwomen have years of experience coaching and training and are passionate about sharing their knowledge.

2 people share 1 coach $75/person
3 people share 1 coach $65/person
4 people share 1 coach $60/person

How did you get started teaching?
I began surfing in 1978 and combined my passion for surfing and teaching when I founded Del Mar Surf Sessions in 1997. I have continuously owned and operated Del Mar Surf Sessions for over 20 years in Del Mar, California.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked extensively with all ages and backgrounds. I love teaching people who are super excited to learn. I really share their stoke when new students discover how much fun surfing is or when surfers developing new skills experience a breakthrough.
