About

With Athletic Self-Mastery we focus on transcending the game of basketball. We don't just train you to be a great player. We train & guide you to be the best version of yourself so that you may be great in basketball and anything else you choose to do in life. The principles of self-mastery that we teach our players create the foundation for growth, expansion, evolution, and transcendence. Therefore, applying these principles of self-mastery to oneself allows for growth & evolution in any career field chosen.

I genuinely enjoy witnessing the growth & progression of each player that I train. Seeing them embrace the journey of self improvement and the mentality of self-mastery brings so much joy to my heart. Because it's not just about me teaching them. It's about their dedication to themselves and continually choosing to grow & improve in all aspects of their own lives. Knowing that they're intentionally choosing to be the best version of themselves is one of the most fulfilling feelings I've ever experienced. Therefore, seeing my players improve both on & off the court is what I enjoy most about what I do.

    Frequently asked questions

The overall goal is to help the player grow, progress, evolve and transcend past their current goals and their current state of being. During our training sessions, I will learn how to best understand the player in order to teach them in the best way possible. Each player is unique and we will work together as a team in order to ensure that the player achieves their goals. Learning is about self-discovery, and self-discovery leads to self-mastery.

Every session will start with a quick meditation & intention setting exercise. This will teach the player to be present, focused, and intentional throughout our training session. The rest of the session will be spent practicing basketball exercises that will help with overall skill development and personal development. Then at the end of every session will be a short time for reflection. This is when the player reviews their workout and I guide them to recall the lessons they've learned throughout the session and how to implement those lessons into their daily lives in order to improve off the court as well.

Basketball is a game that can be used as a tool for self-development and this is exactly what we will be doing. Every minute of every training session will follow this philosophy while being tailored specifically for the unique individuality of the player.

I have 20+ years of playing experience and I have been training with professionals since 2015. I have experience training alongside NBA players and professional overseas players who have taught me a ton about basketball and life in general. I use all of my combined experiences to teach aspiring players how to grow both on & off the court.

I have also been practicing Self-Mastery and implementing its principles into my life since 2012. Living in the mentality of being a continually evolving master of self has taught me tremendous amounts of knowledge and it continues to teach & guide me throughout my life.

I started playing basketball when I was 2 years old and I gradually developed the ability to teach it to others. I started coaching a youth basketball team with my father when I was 19 years old and that led me to skills training. I enjoyed coaching but I discovered that I love helping players develop their skills even more. I receive such joy and satisfaction from helping players develop into better players and better individuals. I have a passion for helping people grow and become better versions of themselves and I will always love it.

I have worked with players from the ages of 5-22 both male and female. I am comfortable working with any skill level from beginner to elite.

Look for someone who is passionate about the growth & development of their players. Someone who is passionate will give their best effort to the player regardless of the circumstances. This will impact the student in the very best of ways which will help with their overall growth as a person.

Each player should ask themselves these types of questions:

"Do I truly desire what is best for myself?"

"Is my growth as a basketball player & an individual a priority for me?"

"Do I love myself and am I willing to do what is best for myself even if it is difficult?"

"Am I willing to grow within my comfort zone as well as in areas outside of my comfort zone?"
