Hello! My name is Allison Gilbert, but I prefer Alli. I went to New Hampshire Institute of Art where I studied Graphic Design; I have also taken art, history and general education classes at the UNH Manchester campus. And recently enrolled as a junior at New England College, majoring in Art Education.
I have been unofficially teaching since I was my english teachers aid my freshman year of high school in 2010.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I like to get to know my students and what they are interested in creating and what mediums to work with.
I will teach the basics, such as color, contrast, line, texture and space.
I will set up still life’s for my student to study, I will give demonstrations and work as much as we need to on a topic.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been studying art, I would like to say all my life. I spent my childhood until now studying and creating art, going to school and classes. I studied formally at New Hampshire Institute of Art.

I charge a standard hourly fee for my services and transportation costs. If supplies are needed that will be discussed.
How did you get started teaching?
I have about one year of amateur teaching experience and am going to school formally for teaching art.

I have worked with students ages 2-20
