I am a dedicated and skillful educator with over 15 years of experience in tutoring English language arts to elementary school students and over 10 years of experience tutoring middle, high school and college students in English. My English tutoring services include all aspects of English, including both creative and expository writing. I have published my creative writing nationally and internationally and am engaged in continuing education in writing with respected authors.

In addition, I have over 10 years of experience in tutoring English as a Second Language to students of all ages, including graduate students, post-grads and professionals. Finally, I have over 10 years of experience providing test preparation services for the SAT, ACT, ISEE and TOEFL English and verbal sections.

I have been described by former students and clients as articulate, thorough, patient, skilled, professional, caring, engaging and excellent at providing individualized learning.

I graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University in 1991 and spent the first half of my professional life in fundraising and marketing for nonprofit organizations. After a year of national community service with Americorps managing a tutoring program in an elementary school, I devoted myself to the educational field and discovered a love for tutoring and teaching. After 6 years of tutoring and managing tutoring programs for elementary school students, I wanted to expand the population I served, so I obtained my Cambridge CELTA certification in teaching English as a Second Language. I then opened Cosmos Learning in 2012 to provide excellent English, ESL and English language arts tutoring and test preparation for students of all ages and backgrounds.
