What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to listen and get to know th person first. Then I create the space and culture for a relaxed, safe, and fun creative experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a certificate in design and illustration and a degree in fine arts and art education.
How did you get started teaching?
I homeschooled my oldest for middle school and offered my expertise to the homeschooling group where I live.
I also worked for the local school district in computer labs and in a Resource Room for special education.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds from elementary school age (I led an after school creative program for a private school in Palo Alto), to corporate team building events to private classes for adults.
