About
My name is Nina and I am a learning specialist with extensive experience in education. I focus on proving math support by using a variety of research-based learning strategies. I am a credentialed middle school teacher and hold an M.S in Special Education. I am well versed in common core and innovative practices for a variety of learning disabilities or for students who might need a little extra support. I strive to make learning accessible for all and enjoy incorporating students’ personal interests and hobbies into the lesson to make the material more relatable. I believe that every student is unique and learns in their own way, which is why I enjoy discovering creative ways to help students overcome academic hurdles and develop increased self-efficacy. My goal is to support students (remotely at this time) while helping to teach them the material and provide strategies that can be utilized in the classroom, through distance learning, and independently in their lives.
I love helping students reach their potential and feel academically confident! I have been teaching for over 10 years and enjoy connecting with students and helping them.
