Lester's Sports Training
About
For as long as I can remember, sports have been a major part of my life. From the age of five through my mid-twenties, baseball was my passion. I played every level from Little League to four years of collegiate baseball and continued competing in adult leagues throughout Los Angeles. Basketball has also been a lifelong pursuit, where I was a four-year starter in high school and have continued playing in competitive adult leagues.
My passion for athletics naturally evolved into coaching. While playing community college baseball in Northern California, I was shooting coach two seasons for my freshman high school basketball team, helping young athletes develop both their skills and confidence. More recently, I've coached two seasons of my son's peewee flag football team and currently train my five-year-old son and his best friend each week in baseball. Our sessions focus on proper warm-ups, throwing mechanics, batting, fielding, positional play, pitching fundamentals, and most importantly, having fun while learning.
I believe the mental side of sports is just as important as the physical. Building confidence, discipline, resilience, and a love for competition creates athletes who not only perform well but also become great teammates and leaders. My goal is to help every child develop a strong foundation, enjoy the process of learning, and discover the confidence that comes from hard work and preparation.
None of this would be possible without the incredible support of my wife, who has encouraged me to turn my lifelong passion for sports and coaching into an opportunity to positively impact young athletes. There is nothing more rewarding than helping kids grow both on and off the field, and I look forward to helping each athlete reach their full potential.
