What is your typical process for working with a new student?

When taking on a new student I always ask, "what is our goal together?" Where do you want your music to take you? I ask about their inspirations musically and have them play something that is comfortable for them to demonstrate their abilities at their best!

How did you get started teaching?

I have been teaching for 12 years. I started teaching as a music coach in high schools in the SoCal area.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with children as young as 9 years old through high school age, college and adults.

Most of my students currently are in High School, College, or Adult Professional age.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Keep an open mind and the possibilities are endless.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What are their goals. What are their concerns.

A good teacher will be able to help you find solutions to what you once considered problems.
