About
Hi there!
My name is Kaylee Falcon and I am an artist based in Los Angeles and I truly love teaching others how to get comfortable with art-making. I teach ceramics (working with clay), painting, drawing, sculpture, needle-felting, among other art forms. I also teach Spanish as I am fluent and have been speaking since I was a child!
I have been teaching all ages and experience levels for the past six years, with a specialized background (15 years) in working with children with learning and developmental differences. I am available for in-person and Zoom lessons.
I studied Studio Art with an emphasis in Sculpture from Azusa Pacific University for my Bachelor's and received my Master's in Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University.
I am really patient and my warm nature creates a safe, non-judgmental, open space for learning. I follow the student's pace and make sure to take them step by step so as to feel comfortable. Ultimately, I want the student to have fun as I believe a learning environment should be a space where you can put everything else to the side and feel free to explore!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by briefly getting to know the student to understand what they would like to learn and also to build a comfort level. I introduce the student to the overview of the lesson plan and allow the student to guide the process to meet their needs as well as interests.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Azusa Pacific University with a BA in Studio Art (emphasis in Sculpture). I also graduated from Loyola Marymount University with my Master's in Art Therapy. I also have been trained and currently work as a ceramics instructor at a studio in Los Angeles.
I have held multiple classes and workshops for kids as well as adults at different non-profits, highlighting the joy of experimenting with art materials.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching adapted art lessons to children with learning/developmental differences back in August of 2015. Then, I expanded to offering private lessons in 2016 where I would work with students on their art projects and help them explore art as a form of play!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of students, from very young to elder age and with differing abilities. I have a special background and training in working with individuals on the spectrum.
Art should be available to everyone!
