I offer math tutoring for college students, in-person in Plano, Texas and online otherwise. Subjects can include: calculus (single variable, multivariable), differential equations, linear algebra, analysis (real, complex, Fourier), abstract algebra, topology (point-set, algebraic), and combinatorics (enumerative, algebraic, analytic). I also tutor problem solving, the kind needed for Olympiads and the Putnam competition.
My teaching treats math as a fundamentally creative, imaginative, and playful endeavor. This important mindset is not usually taught — especially in courses that present mathematical methods in other fields. I believe my approach enriches both my students' understandings of math and their approach to other disciplines and practices.
