About
I have been playing and teaching privately for over 31 years. I have had several students go on to major in music at conservatory level. I cater to students' needs and provide in-home (and in-studio) service. I am very committed to my students' needs!
I place great emphasis on progress, rather than perfection!
Watching students grow and learn and be able to apply the valuable skills they learn from music to other areas of their lives.
Member of MTAC, MTNA, ASTA, LAVC.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first like to find out how much experience and what sort of knowledge base the student has and then I can craft a plan to cater to the students wishes and needs while still ensuring basic technique is studied and mastered.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in music from Augsburg College, extensive coursework in music education and conducting, have played semi-professionally and have taught privately for 31 years. I am a member of MTAC, ASTA, LAVC and MTNA.
I have studied cello with Danny Rothmuller, Fang-Fang Xu, Cecilia Rossiter, Peter Howard, and Laura Sewell. Violin and viola with Mary West and Mary Horozaniecki, and piano with Celeste O'Brien and Elliott Wilcox.
