Jeremy Alvarez Music - Trumpet Lessons
About
Hi! I'm Jeremy Alvarez, a professional trumpet player, educator, and Berklee College of Music graduate.
I was awarded the prestigious Jimmy Lyons Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship given to one musician in the Western United States. At Berklee, I studied with world-renowned trumpet artists Tiger Okoshi and Sean Jones, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance.
As a performer, I was awarded 2nd Place in the International Trumpet Guild Jazz Competition and have toured and recorded professionally throughout the United States, Vietnam, Argentina, and Mexico. I've performed and collaborated with artists including bbno$, Joyce Moreno, Pedro Capó, My Linh, and Sunni Colón, and have contributed recordings to projects for Netflix and Manjuu.
As a teacher, I work with students of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for auditions, jazz performance, honor groups, and college music programs. While I specialize in jazz studies, improvisation, and contemporary trumpet performance, I am experienced teaching a wide range of styles and musical goals. My lessons are personalized to each student's needs, focusing on strong fundamentals, sound production, technique, musicianship, confidence, and a lifelong enjoyment of music.
Whether you're picking up the trumpet for the first time or looking to take your playing to the next level, I'll create a clear, structured plan to help you improve quickly and achieve your goals.
