Hi! My name is Jolynne and I have been a professional photographer for 11 years. I have also taught beginning photography to middle school students, adults and kids. I love photography because it allows you to catch and hold special moments, helps others see things from your point of view and brings awareness to the important things in the world. My photography classes are super fun and creative. We will have a great time learning how to take awesome photographs! What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When you sign on as my new student, we just have a conversation, first of all, about your experience with photography and what it is about photography that excites you. I might have you share some photographs with me that particularly inspire you. We will start with the absolute basics, and surprise! It's not about how fancy your camera is. It's all about the eye. Artistic composition is the basic ingredient to a great photograph. We will talk composition and lighting and go from there. If you have a camera, we can talk basics of settings and how to get past the little green box (automatic!) And we will have FUN! No judgment here and lots of encouragement!
