About this pro

Danish born and raised, Nina’s yoga journey started 15 years ago whilst living in England, as a means to counter-act what years of competitive horse riding had done to her body. She is now living between beautiful California Wine-Country just north of San Francisco and Denmark. Nina is a Yoga Alliance ERYT200, RYT500hr+ & YACEP certified yoga teacher, trained in Hatha and Smart Flow. Although her base is in Northern California, Nina  regularly teaches workshops in Europe, Asia and the US. She is also a contributor to the largest fitness magazine in Scandinavia, Iform, and films online yoga with

Nina is a self-confessed anatomy geek, but likes bending the rules and challenge yoga dogma. Her approach to asana is based on bio-mechanic intelligence and curiosity blended with classic yoga principles, which has resulted in her very own dynamic and unique Vinayasa style.

Nina works from the principle that asana is a union of strength, flexibility, balance and breath, but also thinks it imperative to inject playfulness and fun into her practice and teaching. Her teaching is about personal empowerment, developing body intelligence and creating awe, amazement and gratefulness for your own body and its capabilities.  Nina aims to give her students strong, safe practices, which includes them understanding and respecting their unique body. She works from the concept that we are all our own guru: Her job as a teacher is to introduce you to your own power and help you find peace and presence through movement.

Nina is inspired and inspiring. I am always challenged and am never bored in her classes. Her flows are highly creative and feel like dance. Her fitness is effective and fun. Her music and pace lend to the perfect moving meditation for me.

Nina’s class was inspired, creative and thoughtful. She has the knowledge and skill to teach arm balancing like few others do. But even if you are not interested in arm balancing her classes offer a beautiful choreographed flow that will bliss you out!

Nina is hands down the best yoga teacher I’ve ever taken class from. Each class flow feels like it’s own choreographed dance. She has helped me build so much strength and balance and keeps class super fun. All other yoga classes pale in comparison to Nina’s. I’m so lucky I found her!

Nina has incredible knowledge and understanding of yoga, anatomy and movement. Her cues and hands-in adjustments are spot on! She has transformed my practice from what she would refer to as “flapping my legs and arms around” to strong, balanced and present. No wonder this woman is blowing minds all over the world!! On top of that.. she is funny!!
