About
I value my students and always give the best of my knowledge to meet their needs.
Whether you have never drawn or painted before or have some experience, I guarantee that you are going to make progress even with one session. If you are an experienced student, We'll take you from where you are, on to the next level. We'llwork on exactly what you want to learn to get the most out of each lesson.
I have over 20 yrs. of experience and have worked for 4 professional art schools as well as private studios, including OTIS college of Art and Design and California Art Institute.
I love helping others to improve their drawing skills. I am patient with everyone of my students; I always make sure they understand and enjoy each lesson and the process. "If they are happy I am happy" Lastly I enjoy seeing my students get excited once they start creating using what they learn from my lessons.
I started teaching at 22yrs. old at California Art Institute and haven't stop since.
My approach with teaching simple ABC(but effective) to make sure everyone benefits and start creating their own work with just a few lessons.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new studen is to ask a couple of questions to understand his or her needs, this way I can help student in the best possible way to meet his/her need. My goal is to help student improve and to gain momentum to get inspire and keep making progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Studied at California Art Institute and Art Academy of Los Angeles, later taught at both schools including Otis College of Art and Design.
Have experience in both Fine and Commercial art, also Fashion Illustration and Calligraphy.
Leadership skills. Organized and disciplined.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Price varies depending on the distance(location) of my students.
My price range is between $50-$75p/h
Group lessons vary in price as well.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I was 22 by helping my mentor Mark Westermoe with his drawing classes. I learned the system from hiring models, setting up studio and lighting, to the process of each class: Figure and portrait drawing and painting.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all type of students at all levels. from 10-15 year all groups to retire proffesionals who want to persue art as a second career, and of course with advanced art students.
In general, I love teaching.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Last year Spring 2018
I worked with the department of FASHION DESING at OTIS College of Art and Design teaching Model drawing for the Junior class.
All my students passed the class and got excellent feedbacks.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
In my opinion it's very important that the student check the instructor's work to see if that meets his/her needs and ask questions. The best art teacher is the one who is able to explain the process as well as to know how to do outstanding work.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I believe the most important thing for a student is to know WHY the students want to draw.
Then the teacher knows how to help better. if the student doesn't know, then the teacher can just teach anything. oviosly art related but if the students knows WHAT he or she wants to get out of the class then the teaching is more specific and results are better in both ends.
