He is a hitting coach. Teaches the correct format for a hitter

Jason introduced my son to baseball. He was 5 years old, very active, without any knowledge of the game. Coach Jason was willing to take him on regardless. He had never worked with a child younger than 6 and he revised his strategies constantly to find a way to break things down for my son. He keeps the practice moving the full hour incorporating all skills. His patience is like nothing I have ever seen. Everyday I thought he would tell me my son was too young for an hour lesson, except he would just smile and say, “I think he’s having fun.” I have observed him in sessions with other players and his care for them is genuine. He follows up with them from week to week and the kids can tell he cares. This has been a great experience and I would give Coach Jason the highest recommendation.

Explains to my son the reason for the hitting drills, and is teaching him how to maximize his swing for better efficiency, ball placement etc.

From there I teach 5-8 simple drills that can be done at home. All players are taught a hitting routine to complete at home after they work with me once a week.

It usually takes 2-3 sessions to really see progress and players must continue to practice the drills every week to stay sharp.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Players making it to the next level. We have many players make their high school teams this year we have also had players sign divison 1 scholarships (Jake Pulcheon) and have had players sign professional contracts both to play in the minor leagues and independent ball.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure the instructor has evidence of current players improving.
