What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Evaluation.
From there I teach 5-8 simple drills that can be done at home. All players are taught a hitting routine to complete at home after they work with me once a week.
It usually takes 2-3 sessions to really see progress and players must continue to practice the drills every week to stay sharp.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Former NCAA All American baseball player (2006). Played 4 years of college baseball on a full ride baseball schlorship.
Worked with the Dodgers organization for 2 years.
Was the lead hitting coach at California State San Bernardino for two seasons after I finished playing (2008)
Have been a high school teacher and head baseball coach for the last 13 years.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Players making it to the next level. We have many players make their high school teams this year we have also had players sign divison 1 scholarships (Jake Pulcheon) and have had players sign professional contracts both to play in the minor leagues and independent ball.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the instructor has evidence of current players improving.
