What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Warmup with student and evaluate arm position while throwing. First 10 to 15 minutes work on pitching mechanics and increasing speed. Last 10 to 15 minutes are spent on hitting locations and pitch development.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Sport and Recreationi Management. I pitched at SDSU back in the early 80's and have been coaching ever since. I'm currently a San Diego Longhorns travel baseball coach.

How did you get started teaching?
Been coaching for over 20 years and have always loved watching the growth of young players.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ages from 8 to 18 Y/O, but currently only taking on 12 years old and younger due to the room I have for my bullpen.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that the player and parent are both comfortable with and make sure you are getting value out of the lessons. Are they able to communicate with the player and make the parent understand as well.
