☆I'm a native of Tokyo Japan and have an extensive teaching experience as a Japanese and ESL instructor. For the past 25 years, I've taught EFL/ESL in Japan and in San Diego along with curriculum development and international student academic support. My teaching experience includes teaching Japanese as a world language in public high schools in San Diego county schools. Students I've taught passed AP Japanese, JLPT(N2), TOEFL, etc, successfully. I not only enjoy teaching Japanese language, but I hope to share my native language and culture in a diverse community in California!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
*Currently I offer private instructions via skype.
I usually provide the information session (about 20-30 minutes) before starting actual lessons. I'll ask each student questions including one's learning purpose/goal and textbook/s.

I started tutoring ESL students when I was sophomore in college.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
*ESL Instructor: a minimum of Bachelor's degree and TESOL certification, Master's degree
*Japanese Instructor: Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education, Teaching credential in target language
